By 1939 there were roughly 38,000 Italians
living in Australia. One of those early immigrants brought to Adelaide cuttings
from the grape variety Montepulciano D’Abruzzo, a grape variety indigenous to
the Abruzzo region. Our parcel of Montepulciano Grapes are the direct
descendants of these cuttings, given to us by the relatives of these first
immigrants and propagated on site. We are proud to release La Cosa Nostra
(It’s Our Thing) the very best vintage of Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, a wine of
deep ruby colour. This wine has soft tannins with flavours of plums,
blackberries and wild strawberries. Drink now or in 10 years.
